Changing Engine Oil

Changing the engine oil is not a difficult task at all . Some simple steps to change the oil -

1. Warm up the engine for a couple of mins - the hot engine oil flows out easier than when its cold.

2.There is a drain bolt located on the left hand side (usually ) of the engine at the bottomost part . Place a container which can hold about 1-1.3L of fluid underneath this area and slowly loosen the bolt. You can also open the oil filler cap on the other side of the engine to facilitate easy draining of the oil

3.Once the bolt is removed let the oil drain from the engine into the container beneath . Wait till the last few drops have come out of the engine.

4. Put back the drain bolt - don't over tighten it .

5. Fill fresh oil into the engine from the other side . Once top up is complete , close the cap - don't overtighten the cap.

6. Start the bike and warm it slowly for a min or so to get the new oil circulating in the engine .
