Roads for most of the route are great. Hassan -> Belur is absolutely beautiful stretch with properly banked corners.

- At entry checkpoint, you get a receipt and you have reach exit point within certain time limit. Nominal fee is charged to visit Hanumagundi waterfalls. This is the loophole. The people who visit the waterfalls are exempt from the time limit. Spend as much time as you want taking in the views and get the receipt at waterfalls (visit it if you want) and show it at exit point.
- Bhagavathi Nature camp is in the middle of Kudremukh National park. It is situated next to a small stream and it is also starting point to trekking paths to numerous peaks in the area.
- Provides very cheap dorm accommodation. Other option is tent which are small in number.
- To stay at Bhagavathi Nature camp you need to book accommodation from Forest office at Kudremukh town.
- Forest office also provides guides for treks on request.
- Only solar power is available. Torches are a must.
- Camp has a in house cook and kitchen but, no groceries. Buy the groceries before hand as you are quite far away from humanity.
