  • Chitkul is the last village on the old Hindustan Tibet route in Himachal Pradesh. It lies in the Sangla valley, a picturesque valley set besides the Baspa river.
  • Distance from Delhi: ~600km, Shimla:350 km

  • Why should you do it?
    • Last village on the IndoChina border
    • Base point for Kinner Kailash treks as well as till Uttarkashi
    • The Ride: 180 km with raging rivers by your side (Sutlej/Baspa), View the gushing Baspa Dam outlet, and some 350km in winding mountains one way!
    • Preparation for Ladakh as the air is rarefied!
    • The view: With barren Ladakh-like mountains on one side of the road and lush green forests on the other, its a view you can't forget!
