The making of the calendar would not have been possible without the help of the following – some knowingly – some unknowingly !
Sayan Jana
A quiet guy, but who follows up on things he takes up. Sayan volunteered to look at getting the calendars printed. This was his first time he was going to look into such kind of activities – and the result is just fantastic ! From finding the right printer, to following up with people to submit pics, to following up with people for how many calendars were needed in each city, this chap did all. It was a learning experience watching him work.
Venkat and Auto Service
Venkat was gracious enough to again sponsor the calendar this year. He runs a Bajaj Pro-Biking showroom in Bangalore – one of the finest places around. Anyone in bangalore with a Bajaj bike sleeps easy knowing that their bikes got serviced at Auto Service. The calendar gives an entire rundown on Auto Service, their numorous awards and achievements.
Abhimanyu
The prose that flows from his pen takes you to a new dimension. He is totally responsible for the writeup about BikeNomads on Page 2 of the calendar. If anyone is to be cheered/blamed for it – it is him.
Sameer Shishodia
For the writeup on AutoService. A Nomad of many years and a close friend of Venkat , he came up with the points about AutoService when we were left stumped what to put in ! This was then polished by the penmanship of Abhimanyu and some more inputs from Venkat.
Vinay
Though not mentioned in name in the calendar it is his picture which forms the background of the writeup of BikeNomads. His submission for BN could not make it for the final list of pics selected, but it was the perfect pic when we were looking for what to put for the slide on our group. The unknown model is none other than HomiBaba … a name you will well recognize if you had been to the Dandeli Meet.
The Fotographers ! Without them there would be no calendar to display. Even the printer was asking if these people are professional photographers as they were blown away with the quality of pics. In monthly order they are :
- January : Harshad Sharma
- February : Amod Gokhale
- March : Abhimanyu
- April : Chintan Lakhani
- May : Haren Asher
- June : Ashish Chamoli
- July : Sravanth
- August : Kamlesh Sanwal
- September : Deepak Dongre
- October : Suyash Sonawane
- November : Nandu Chitnis
- December : Praveen KM
We were looking for a fornightly calendar like last year, but we got fewer pics this year compared to last year. There were many submissions which did not fall to our specifications of picture size or did not look too good. Then there were some people who have a great eye for taking pics – whose pics we had a tough time sorting through. Finally we decided that we can take only 1 pic per person for the calendar.
And the result is for everyone to see. For the people whose pics did not get selected, I hope you forgive us, and do submit pics next time. For those whose pics got selected – well dudes, you just got yourself 2 free calendars !
And last in the list of credits would be me.
I did nothing. I just got the others to do what I wanted
Have fun. Enjoy the calendar. Gift it to people and spread the word about the group. Looking forward to a great ride year !
